Why do I have this burden to bear?

It is really easy to blame God for any hardship that comes our way. Anyone grieving knows that it is tempting to feel as though someone should be to blame for the pain you’re experiencing.

When I miscarried, I knew it was an opportunity to grow closer to God or push Him away. Sometimes we forget, Satan is nearby ready to tempt us to blame God for this pain. So I decided to take the opportunity to praise Him. I immediately wrote Coping with a Miscarriage: The Lonely Road, because I wanted to document exactly how I felt at that time and to not grieve in darkness but in His Light. {This post also has a free grieving journal for moms – printable}

1. Healing Bible Verses for Mothers of Loss

He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 WEB

Most people say that they never get over the loss of a loved one. However, God promises to heal a believers heart and bind up their wounds. Grief is a journey and as we navigate through it, it doesn’t always feel like God is at work for our good, but He always is.

Loss sometimes brings us closer in our relationships with family or God introduces someone completely new to us. He always has a purpose for the path we are on.

As you don’t know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child; even so you don’t know the work of God who does all. Ecclesiastes 11:5 WEB

Our plans are not always the Lord’s plans… What I think would work out perfectly isn’t actually the case. However, it doesn’t mean He doesn’t plan to bless us with a child at a later time. Or that He has something even bigger in mind for us.

Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5 WEB

After my loss, I realized it had made me better… The loss helped me to relate to others who had lost someone or miscarried. Also, I realized I had probably said something hurtful or offensive due to my lack of understanding.

God grows us in ways that we don’t necessarily agree with or understand in the moment. But did I grow because I was willing to let God use me in my grief? I think so; I don’t know that I would have grown if I had chosen to resent God in my grieving. Are you willing?

11. SCRIPTURES FOR MOTHERS IN GRIEF

In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also. John 14:2-3 WEB

This Bible verse for mothers who have miscarried always comforts me. It makes me think of God having a special place for even me, but it also makes me think of the great nursery He has for my child. And that He must have adored that child so much, He placed them in their eternal nursery right away. ♡

When god called with healing bible verses for mothers who have miscarried…

When God called with healing Bible Verses mothers of miscarriage, I just knew I should share them here too. Loss can feel so isolating and I know Satan’s goal is to get us away from God’s Word when we are grieving.

Well, I am stubborn and I pray you are too… Do the opposite of what feels natural! Instead of allowing Satan to make you angry with God, seek God’s Word, promises and rejoice for the baby He is going to present to you when you see His face in heaven!

If God says to rejoice, I will rejoice. If He says to have faith, I will have faith!
