Children sharing the gospel message

My daughter, who is four years old, told me one night this week that she has several stops to make tomorrow. I asked her what she was referring to and she stated that she needed to stop at several neighbor’s houses and tell them about Jesus!

First of all, wow… As an adult, I find sharing the Gospel as this nerve-racking, intimidating thing that I worry about. She has this boldness in her and looks forward to it! It really made me think, what is my problem!?

Come to Jesus with child-like faith

Secondly, this wasn’t the first time my four-year-old had inspired me to dig deeper with God and my purpose on earth.

Truly I say to you, whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a young child will never enter into it. Mark 10:15

I wasn’t one of those gals who looked forward to being a mother all her life. I’m not sure God ever gifted me with an awesome way with children. So, her comment made me realize that even though I don’t feel like being a mother is my God-given purpose in life, it is!

He has blessed me with the opportunity to raise up two little humans to be strong in faith, love Jesus, share Jesus and wait for His return!

Her child-like faith and passion for letting our neighbors know about Jesus’ love is what inspired this post and the free printable for Teaching Your Kids to Share the Gospel.

How to teach your kids to share the gospel

So, let’s talk about the actual teaching part… What do you say? I mean, you know enough about Jesus to change your life, but how do you help your kids to know what to say.

Fortunately, there are only 4 crucial elements that they need to remember. The Free Printable Tool will help them remember what to share with their friends!

1. God created them and loves them!

God created everything and wants us to have a close relationship with Him. He knows what we need and wants us to seek Him for those needs. We were created to glorify Him.

In addition, you can find all of the Bible verses that support these four elements in this Sharing the Gospel in 30 Seconds post!

2. We all make mistakes and we can tell God about them!

Sin has separated us from God. Nothing about God is sinful, so we need to be restored to Him again.

3. God sent His Son, Jesus to wipe our mistakes away!

Jesus died on the cross for all our mistakes, so if we repent to Jesus our relationship with God will be restored. The innocent Lamb died a sinner’s death to wipe away our sins.

4. If we love Jesus, we can live in Heaven with Him!

Our response is to choose to accept Jesus as our Savior. Let Jesus be Lord of our life. We will spend eternity with Him.
